Is it uncomfortable to have them applied?

 

Not at all, most people find having eyelash extensions a relaxing experience.  You will be comfortably reclined with your eyes closed and you bottom lashes protected while Eyelash Extensions are applied individually to your natural eyelashes.  Applications of one set of eyelash extensions generally takes between 90 to 120 minutes. The procedure is so tranquil & comfortable that many clients fall asleep. Touch ups can be done in as little as 45 minutes to 1 hour.

 

Do I have to have regular maintenance?

 

It is totally up to you the client.  Maintenance is not required if you choose to have Eyelash Extensions applied for a special occasion or a holiday.  The semi permanent eyelashes will gradually grow/fall  out with your natural eyelashes as part of the normal hair growth cycle.

 

However, lots of people love the look they create and have regular maintenance – a full set can last up to two months.

 

Are the lashes good for holidays?

 

Yes, absolutely perfect, particularly for swimming, Chlorine will not effect the lashes and they will look gorgeous, thicker & longer, just perfect for lying around the pool.

 

Can I apply mascara to Eyelash Extensions?

 

Indeed, one of the main advantages of Eyelash Extensions is that it will give you a thicker darker look so you may never need mascara again.  However, if you choose to wear mascara, only water based mascara can be used.  You can purchase a special formulated Eyelash Extensions mascara separately that is specific for the eyelash extensions which only needs to be applied to the tips and can be removed with warm water.

 

How long do the lash extensions last?

 

Between 4-8 weeks depending on the life cycle of your own natural lashes (when we lose natural lashes, we lose the lash extensions with them), other factors such as swimming, exercising,  sleeping, etc, and general care of the lash extensions.

 

How do I take care of Eyelash Extensions?

 

Your new Eyelash Extensions are long, thick and beautiful!  Once applied, they last up to 2 months (some eyelash technicians say 3 months but this would totally depend on each individual’s eyelash cycle).

 

Best of all, they are easy to maintain. An aftercare leaflet after your treatment will  be given to you detailing easy care maintenance instructions.  To maintain this look and extend the life of your lashes, follow these easy care instructions:

 

Do not wash eyes or shower for 24 hours after lash application.

 

Do not swim,  spa or sauna for 48 hours after lash application to allow adequate time for bonding.

 

Be gentle with your lashes.

 

Avoid rubbing your eyes.

 

Avoid oil-based eye make up remover  and waterproof mascara.

 

Try Avoid sleeping on your front.

 

 

What qualifications/experience do I have?

 

I  am a fully qualified and insured Beauty Therapist (CIBTAC trained – since 2005).  I  also separately undertook a one to one professional training course to become a certified Eyelash Technician (professionally certified at the beginning of  2007 of last year).  I absolutely love offering this service and  nearly all the treatments I now do on clients -  Semi Permanent Eyelash Extensions  is the one that is asked for nearly every time and has proven to be a favourite for them and for me.   I also only use top quality products and  my glues are “CE Approved” .
