Nestled in the foothills of the French Pyrenees mountains, we are located in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques department of Aquitaine, Southwest France, Department 64.

We are delighted to offer holiday accommodation in the form of our French Bed and Breakfast Guest house and Gite rental holidays. Our Gites are complemented with an outdoor swimming pool and garden. We are conveniently situated in the beautiful and typically French village of Issor, postcode 64570.

Our fantastic location in the South west of France means you have the mountains within easy reach but also we are just 10mins from the quaint town of Oloron-Sainte-Marie, 50mins from the beautiful City of Pau and 1.5hrs from Biarritz on the coast. Both Pau and Biarritz are served by Ryanair flights from Stansted, Dublin or Shannon and from May 2008, Ryanair will be flying to Pau from Bristol three times a week. Toulouse airport is served by Air France and British Airways. Lourdes is equally only 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from our location. For visitors who are touring on motorcycles or driving, the northern Spanish ferry ports of Bilbao and Santander are just over 3 hours away.

Our self catering, self contained Gites and B&B holiday accommodation are open all year round, taking advantage of the beautiful seasons. The house itself has a date of 1760 etched into the stone doorway, which was the era of King Louis the 16th and the three musketeers. From our courtyard gates, you can walk in any direction and enjoy breathtaking scenery. The properties are surrounded by fields and views of the mountains. There is a fabulous walking route that begins next to the property, taking you through beautiful wooded areas, over streams and passed vast open fields.

In the village of Issor, with a magnificent view of the surrounding area, we have a little shop come cafe/bar where the locals will welcome you. Also nearby are several ski resorts, the closest being just 40mins away, La Pierre Saint Martin, with spectacular panoramic views. There are plenty of restaurants and bars located nearby.
Our sun-drenched courtyard offers a calm and peaceful environment, which is perfect for a relaxing, reading, or enjoying a glass of wine.

We are perfectly located to explore the Pyrenees Mountains so if you are a keen rambler, you will be spoilt for choice with walking routes and hiking in the Pyrenees is a beautiful way to discover the full beauty of the region. The Pyrenees is a natural wilderness accredited with National Park status. Mountains, lakes and forests combine to create a landscape which nature and wildlife enthusiasts will admire. Tourism is evolving - there are plenty of outdoor activities to choose from - but it is far less developed than the Alps. See our \'what to do\' section for more information.

We are also a biker friendly B&B and our self contained Gites are perfect for bikers on motorcycle tours, the winding roads in our area are perfect for bikers.

Two Self Contained Gites Complemented With Swimming Pool

Open all year round, beautiful Béarnaise barn, dated 1760, newly renovated into two separate family sized gites. Both showing original stone walls and the original exposed oak beams. The gites consist of a fitted kitchen, cosy open-plan lounge area with comfortable sofas, satellite TV and DVD player on the ground floor and bedrooms and bathrooms on the second floors. All towels and bed linen are supplied and changed on a weekly basis.

The ‘Courtyard Gite’ has three bedrooms, sleeping up to six people, with exclusive use of the traditional Béarnaise balcony, overlooking the charming courtyard, which is adorned with colourful flowers and the spectacular mountains beyond, also with French doors leading into its own exclusive area of the courtyard to sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Both gites have use of the secluded garden, which is surrounded by the typically French countryside with a swimming pool at the far end and stunning views of the mountains.

The ‘Garden Gite’ has one bedroom with space for childrens beds and leads directly into the tranquil garden with its exclusive decked out area to sit with a glass of wine enjoying the exceptional views of the Pyrenees mountains.
