Adult Literacy and Numeracy provides the opportunity for adults of any age, who want to improve their literacy and/or numeracy, and gain a nationally-recognised qualification. Learners will follow the Adult Literacy and/or Numeracy CoreCurricula to develop their skills.

The National Standards for literacy and numeracy have been set so that learners have targets to aim for when developing literacy and numeracy skills. The standards encourage learners to reach levels of achievement, which can be assessed to each Level, to confirm attainment. Qualification confirm achievement and enhance motivation.

Literacy : Learners will develop functional literacy skills in speaking and listening, reading and writing. This will be achieved through class-based, practical and appropriate external activities.
Numeracy : Learners will develop functional numeracy skills in measure, shape and space, number and data-handling. This will be achieved through class-based, practical and appropriate external activities.

The qualification for Adult Literacy and Nuneracy are available at three levels: Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3

Duration and Cost:
