Our Client is a large, well established Infrastructure Service provider within the public sector, offering a diverse and integrated range of highways and transportation solutions.  They are looking for a Safety Technician to report to the Road Safety Design Team Leader.  The Safety Technician will provide support in monitoring and reporting on the performance of the network in terms of safety, highlighting areas where it can be improved.

Duties include:

Preparing safety studies to identify potential solutions for safety issues on the network

Supporting the undertaking of Road Safety Audits and Fatal Accident Investigations

Agreeing the briefs, programmes and budgets with the Safety Team Leader and Senior Safety Engineer

Reporting to the delivery teams on a bi-weekly basis on performance against budget and program

The ideal candidate:

Will have appropriate experience in Road Safety Engineering

Experience of accident investigation

Will have conducted Road Safety Audits in the last 24 months as Audit Team Member or Observer

Have recent experience leading design teams

Holds relevant vocational qualifications with membership (or working toward membership) of an appropriate professional institution

Possesses knowledge of design codes relevant to Highways Engineering
