Our Client, a large, well established Infrastructure Service provider within the public sector, offers a diverse and integrated range of highways and transportation solutions requires a Schemes Engineer.  Reporting to a number of Site Agents, the Schemes Engineer will be responsible for the management and coordination of various highway construction schemes.

Duties include:

·                    Liaising with in-house design team

·                    Monitoring health and safety

·                    Controlling costs

·                    Maintaining quality

·                    Auditing the supply chain during the construction process

·                    Management of interfaces between 3rd parties on construction schemes

·                    Organising and chairing weekly site based meetings for each individual construction scheme

·                    Providing support and assistance to the Project Manager throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring the scheme is delivered to the agreed programme

The successful Candidate:

·                    Is a recent graduate or HND qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

·                    Has some on-site contracting experience preferably on highways schemes.

·                    Has excellent communication and customer facing skills, able to deal with designers, suppliers, Highways Agency and Stakeholders

·                    Demonstrable experience in construction management

·                    Full driving license and willingness to travel
