About me:

Kristie is an experienced teacher who is also a professional working vocalist. She has several International releases on Black Vinyl (UK), Greenhouse (UK), HearNoEvil (UK), Renegade (UK), Kolour Recordings (US) and a new release out on Mutated Music in March.

She taught on a one-to-one basis in Perth, Australia at several music schools and from her home studio for the last three years. She had approximately 150 students in that time, ranging from ages 5- 60, a high percentage of which were permanent weekly clients.

She draws from her history of writing, recording and performing in her lessons. She shares all her techniques and exercises on breathing, intonation, pitch and expression, from beginners to semi-professional singers who just need to iron out a few creases. Her vocal ability and stage presence has been a huge inspiration to students and her extensive repertoire of popular, rock, soul and avant-guarde songs helps her connect with every student.

Personally she had 4 years of classical lessons, plays guitar, and utilizes the piano in warm-up and classical exercises. Although she has knowledge of classical singing and its importance, her teaching and personal taste is geared primarily towards contemporary music.

While Kristie prides herself on being professional, she understands how nerve-racking singing can be and so consistently provides a relaxed and fun learning environment.
